You know how you have that someone special on your gift list to buy for this year? It’s the person you really want to give something extra special to, and all you have to do is find the perfect gift. Easier said than done, right? Maybe not. Finding the perfect gift this year is easier than you think. In fact, we recently spoke with Rachel and Hayley, two gift-giving pros, to find out what they recommend for all types of perfect gifts for all types of special people.
But first, let’s get to know a little bit about them.
What were your first furry friends?
Hayley: Mine was the Pink Sweet Cuddles Teddy. I named her Pinky, and I bought her a Hannah Montana shirt and skirt outfit. I do still have her and I play with her all the time! She’s my fave. Rachel and I made up a club all about BABW! We’re the Build-A-Bear Sisters, and we have a band and a club, and LOTS of furry friends but our first ones are still always our favorites.
(Note from Mom: Wow! They also told me that band even has a theme song! Together, Rachel and Hayley have about 2 dozen furry friends.)
Rachel: Brown Sugar Puppy, and I named her Brown Sugar Puppy because that’s her name! I got a Hannah Montana outfit too. I play with it all the time. We play house!
Have you ever played in Bearville?
Hayley: Yes, millions of times! I like playing games, shopping, and decorating my Cub Condo.
Rachel: I like visiting people’s houses to find new styles for my sister’s Cub Condo.
What is your favorite dressed furry friend in the holiday catalog?
Hayley: My fave is Lil’ Bunny Big Ears with her elf costume. I like that one best because it’s so ADORABLE! It’s pawsitively festive!
Rachel: I like Rudolph, with his striped red coat. I like him because his nose lights up! (*Note: Rudolph’s striped cape is no longer available online.)
Name two people (for example: teachers, mail person, babysitters, aunts, uncles, grandparents, BFFs, cousins, etc.) that you would give a gift card to for Christmas or another holiday. Why do you think a gift card would be good to give them instead of an already-made furry friend?
Hayley: I would give gift cards to my two BFF’s, Kayla and Alaina. I think a gift card is better because then you can have the fun of making your own furry friend. Plus, you don’t have to worry that they won’t like your gift because they can choose a gift for themselves.
Rachel: Kaitlynn and Meg, my friends at kindergarten. Gift cards are good because making your own furry friend is the fun part!
Hayley and Rachel are guests from Iowa that I connected with after their mom posted this pawsome pic of each of them in their Halloween costumes (along with their little brother) on our Facebook page. They both want to work at Build-A-Bear Workshop when they grow up, and we think they’d make great additions to the family. Don’t you?
