Bring back the magic and be a holiday hero

What gets you in the holiday spirit? Bundling up the kids and sending them out into the fresh-fallen snow to let their imaginations run wild? Unwrapping your family decorations from crinkly brown paper, remembering where and who each one came from? How about cuddling together on the couch watching “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” with the kids in their fuzzy pj’s sipping hot cocoa or crunching salty popcorn?

Rudolph and Clarice, holiday classics to bring back the magic from Build-A-Bear Workshop

Although some (or most) of those memories may come with a little more excitement (or craziness) than depicted in a Norman Rockwell painting, we all have at least one vivid recollection of the holidays that we wish we could recreate. Without fail, one of the best ways to start a holiday tradition is to make a furry friend at Build-A-Bear Workshop. Call it an early gift from Santa, a job-well-done-present for the first half of the school year or making a gift for someone special in your child’s life that may not get too many thoughtful gifts (like a crossing guard, bus driver, an elderly neighbor or a far away family member), no matter who is the lucky recipient, when you make or give holiday classics like Rudolph and Clarice, you are essentially spreading smiles and warm wishes. Hugging these two furry friends is like traveling back to childhood, when a mug of hot cocoa wasn’t complete without a layer of marshmallows on top, and the best pj’s came with attached feet so you could skate on the hardwood floors.

Rest assured, these furry friends, with their light up nose and heart, will make you a holiday hero this year, whether they’re for your own holiday decor or someone you love. Catch this holiday spirit and you might even find yourself looking at all those twinkles in the dark winter sky a bit differently this year. After all, who couldn’t use a little more magic in their heart?
